WinCatalog 2011 beta 2 has just been published.
The most important changes since Beta 1: 1. Collection file format has been changed to provide fast search in any language.
Thumbnails generation for pictures have been completely rewritten and now works faster.
Extraction of ID3 tags from audio files has been completely rewritten as well for better performance. WinCatalog 2011 can also keep thumbnails for images stored inside mp3 files.
The ability to print any view has been added
Now you can flexible configure scanning options. The long file operations (MD5 and CRC32 calculations) have been switched off by default.
The ability to filter search results has been added.
The abilities to set collection title and comments have been added.
The ability to set master password for a collection file is added.
The ability to configure search index has been added.
Reported bugs and issues have been fixed.
If you have beta 1 installed on your computer please uninstall it first. WinCatalog 2011 beta 2 also does not support files created with beta 1.
