Working with contact list

Contact list functions.
You can use the contact list to keep the record of people whom you give certain disks. At any moment you can see whom a particular disk is lent to, and also view the history of moving the disks.
Adding a user
To add a user, open the contact list, select the Edit | Contact list menu item (), click the button (Add new user), enter the user's name and click "OK". Note: in real life different people can have the same names; that's why WinCatalog Light lets you create different users with the same names.
Removing a user
To remove a user, open the contact list, select the user you want to remove and click the button (Remove the selected user). Note: if you remove a user, all disks lent to this user will be automatically marked as returned to you. The history of lending disks to this particular user will also be lost.
Editing the user data
To edit the user data, open the contact list, select the user, and enter the text in the input field on the right. To apply the changes, you can just close the contact list or select another user.
Viewing the disks lent to the user.
To view the list of disks lent to particular user, you need to open the contact list, select the user and click the "Lent volumes" tab. Use the context menu to edit disks in the contact list.
Viewing the history of lending disks
To view the history of lending disks, to open the contact list, select the user and click the "History" tab. Use the context menu to edit disks in the contact list and clear the lending history.
Lending disks to users
To mark a disk (group of disks) as lent, select it/them in the main program window (in the tree or in the right pane) and select the Edit | Lend to… () menu item. This will bring up the list of users. Select a user, you want to lend the disk to and click "OK". To mark the disk as returned, select the Edit | Take back () menu item. Note: both operations are available via the context menu or the item properties window. Attention: while lending a folder added via Edit | Add new folder (), the disk, on which the lent folder is located, will automatically be marked as lent. And vice versa, if you lend a disk, the copies of all folders, added via Edit | Add new folder, will automatically be marked as lent.
