Restoring catalog files from backup

WinCatalog creates backup copies of catalog files by compressing the catalog file by Zip and copying the compressed copy to a backup location.

To restore a catalog file from the backup, open the backup files location, find the latest backup copy (by default WinCatalog adds timestamps to filenames), unpack the file to any folder, and copy the unpacked file to the folder hosting your catalog files. Replace existing files if needed.

If you don't know where the debug files are located, please run WinCatalog, click the Catalog button (left from the Main tab of the Ribbon toolbar), and then click Options. Open the Backup Options page. You can find the backup files location in the "Specify the folder for keeping copies of your catalog files".
